We focus on intelligent, engaging and measurable content that drives responses from key stakeholders: clients, investors and internal audiences. From offices in London and Abu Dhabi we advise a global client base, including some of the world's largest companies.
The Role
- We need to raise the quality of our design output to meet the demands of heavyweight global clients. We need a senior, experienced design professional who can inspire clients and colleagues and work up ideas into visually compelling communications - demonstrating intelligence and creativity.
- The ability to lead and direct a team of designers is a must, but this is also a hands on job where you will need to run your own projects and lead by example. Much of our work is printed, however, increasingly we are delivering across a range of digital platforms, and this candidate must have confidence and experience in the online arena.
- This is a challenging opportunity for a senior designer to step up a gear, take ownership of a team and a range of diverse projects and make their mark in an agency that is smart and dynamic.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Structural: Work closely with the Content Director to meet the creative needs of the business and develop our creative capabilities across an increasingly wide range of media and delivery formats, notably digital and mobile technologies
- Philosophy: Use creative and strategic thinking, brainstorming, industry knowledge and design awareness to ensure the most appropriate creative response to a client brief
- Management: Provide consistent, enthusiastic and motivational leadership to the creative team (currently three designers). To ensure the work produced by this team is of an excellent standard, delivered on time and on budget
- Clients: To contribute to the development and maintenance of client relationships
- New Business: To contribute strategically, creatively and pragmatically to new business opportunities and initiatives, taking a lead role in pitches and overseeing the production of exceptional proposal documents
- Contribute to and encourage the overall spirit and culture of Bladonmore through entrepreneurial ideas and a creative approach.
Job knowledge, skills, and experience
- Experience in developing and designing creative concepts for a range of projects, including branding and visual identities, corporate reporting, websites, brochures, magazines, films and other marketing collateral
- The ideal candidate will understand, through experience, the requirements of business-to-business communications and will have had direct client contact at a senior level. They will understand the challenges and pressures associated with producing creatively strong work for clients in the corporate, financial, investment, business sectors
- Proven management and leadership credentials
- Experience in presenting to and working with clients, including at board level
