I NEED A STRONG THOUGHT LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
KPMG, one of the world's leading professional services firms, wanted to showcase the strength and depth of its insight into the private equity industry.
Bladonmore enabled KPMG's Global Private Equity division to meet this objective by developing an integrated thought leadership programme comprising a landmark research report - Heads up: what next for the private equity industry? - and a series of online films.
"We wanted to produce a document that was international in its outlook, was heavily branded and really showed that we understood what was happening on the global stage," says Joanna Smith, senior marketing manager at KPMG Global Private Equity.
KPMG selected Bladonmore to deliver this, due to its deep specialist knowledge of the sector. "Private equity is quite a specific industry, and I wanted to work with an agency that I felt really understood that industry. The Bladonmore team really fit that bill," says Smith.
During the collaborative process, Bladonmore suggested that KPMG complement the Heads up report with a series of online films. "It was my first experience of dealing with new media, and it was a really good experience," Smith says. "We have had great internal and external feedback on the films, so I am really pleased."
The report itself is also proving a success across Europe, Asia and the Americas. "It's been a really good positioning piece for us; we have distributed around 10,000 copies, " says Smith.
Following the success of the first Heads up report, KPMG is now working with Bladonmore to produce a follow-up. "I hope it will become an institutionalised piece of research for us," Smith says.
