Tracing the ArcelorMittal Orbit story

A structure as ambitious as the ArcelorMittal Orbit – the 114.5 metre red steel sculpture built to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic Games – required an equally ambitious online presence to tell its story.

We designed and built www.arcelormittalorbit.com to trace the Orbit’s journey from concept to construction, capture the perspectives of key people behind the project and provide a way for Londoners, visitors and fans to share their experiences of the Orbit.

We created a wealth of audio, video and editorial content to provide visitors to the site with an immersive experience and to create an enduring association between ArcelorMittal, the sculpture and the Games.

Dedicated ArcelorMittal Orbit Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Flickr accounts were used to share the website’s content and inspire conversation.
