Reporting on a year of accelerated growth

Following a management buyout (MBO) in November 2012, 2013/14 was GardaWorld’s first full year as a privately owned company. If the previous year had been one of transition, this was a year of transformation through accelerated growth.

The company had made game-changing acquisitions, grown in all of its key markets and invested in its people and processes more than ever before. It wanted an annual review that captured this acceleration and positioned the company as a significant force in the global security services sector.

Using the new visual identity we created for GardaWorld after its MBO as a basis for the look and feel of the review, we communicated the momentum of 2013/14 through extensive use of bold infographics to give an overview of the company’s performance at group and business-line level.

Employing infographics and striking, full-page images of staff in action alongside the text allowed us to create and sustain an upbeat pace that reflected GardaWorld’s growth and the optimism that this growth had generated.

We wrote a forward-looking story reporting on how activities in 2013/14 were contributing to the company’s future ambitions. The message to readers was clear: GardaWorld is an exciting company with a promising future ahead of it.
