Launching and sustaining a transformation strategy at the UK’s most famous retailer

Traditionally one of the most celebrated names on the high street, M&S has been going through a period of substantial strategic reorganisation as it responds to the challenges of shifting consumer shopping habits. We have supported and advised the business as it looks to communicate the biggest change in its history to date.

Approach

Today, M&S operates a family of businesses, most recently illustrated by its joint-venture announcement with Ocado.

We have:

  • worked with the Operating Committee and the communications team for the last two years to support the development of the M&S’ narrative and how it is delivered;
  • helped in a range of communications initiatives as the new Chairman and CEO combination have taken a grip on the challenges faced by the Group; and
  • developed content to help the Group push messages out to its audiences in a range of formats.
