Telling KONE’s ESG story more successfully via the media to help build smarter, more sustainable cities
Context
KONE is a global leader in the lift and escalator industry and a trusted partner throughout the building lifecycle, employing over 60,000 experts in over 60 countries.
The Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa leadership team wanted coaching support to ensure they were using the media effectively to communicate KONE’s ESG credentials to their customers, locally and globally.

Approach
Bladonmore coaches joined KONE’s regional leadership team in Dubai for an all-day interactive multimedia workshop, combining core theory on effective media engagement with a series of filmed interview simulations to stress-test the KONE ESG narrative in a safe and supportive environment.
This included simulating a phased crisis scenario to enable the KONE team to experience firsthand the challenges involved in attempting to control the news angle through a PR crisis.
