Center Stage: Menopause for thought
Today is World Menopause Day and as wellbeing climbs the agenda in the workplace, it is becoming increasingly important that communication around menopause is addressed.
While the taboo around this topic is starting to break, there’s still a long way to go to provide the right support in the workplace for affected employees. After all, according to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), an estimated 1.2 million say that menopause has had a negative impact on their career progression. In addition, a survey from Acas has found that a third of employers (33 percent) do not feel well equipped to support women going through the menopause.
In light of this, our latest Center Stage podcast aims to open up the conversation as we are joined by four women at the forefront of changing the narrative:
- Carolanne Minashi, Global Head of Inclusion, HSBC
- Nicola Davidson, Vice President, Corporate Communications and Corporate Responsibility, ArcelorMittal
- Victoria McKenzie-Gould, Corporate Affairs Director, M&S
- Sue Todd, CEO, NABS, the advertising & media industry charity
Center Stage aims to tackle the issues that business communicators face – from investor and brand communications, to ESG, to employee engagement.
