Revitalising the strategy of a global asset manager
GAM was emerging from two troubled years, which started with the suspension of one of its leading fund managers. With this background, it was crucial for the new leadership team to be welcomed by the markets with buy-in for the new strategy.
Bladonmore’s team ran workshops in London and Zurich for senior managers and then worked with the in-house communications team and C-suite to define messaging around the new strategy – plus methods of delivering the story.
The work culminated in the rolling out of the new strategy with the latest results. We trained the speakers in advance of the presentation. Bladonmore’s messaging was brought to life in punchy bullets in the presentation, in an in-depth film interview with the new chief executive, and in various guises across corporate materials – such as the annual report.
The unveiling of the new strategy was broadly welcomed by the market, despite tough conditions, and led to a 10% lift in the share price in the wake of the announcement.
